Industrial Drone Pilot Operational Intelligence & Site Surveillance

Location: Middle TN

Worksite: In office

Travel: ~10 percent

About the Opportunity

FocusPoint is partnering with a confidential, industry leading energy organization to hire an Industrial Drone Pilot with proven experience flying drones over refineries, chemical plants, manufacturing facilities, or other complex industrial environments.

This role blends industrial drone operations with real time operational intelligence , supporting a centralized Situational Awareness Center responsible for monitoring enterprise wide site health. The pilot will conduct drone missions, interpret aerial and operational data, and contribute to continuous monitoring of critical infrastructure.

What You Will Do

• Conduct routine, scheduled, and ad hoc drone flights across large scale energy facilities

• Remotely pilot drones to support inspections, surveillance, and operational awareness

• Provide drone support during emergency events and time sensitive operational situations

• Monitor operational dashboards, visual displays, alerts, and drone feeds to maintain situational awareness

• Identify anomalies, abnormal conditions, hazards, or operational issues

• Communicate observations promptly to operations, reliability, maintenance, HSE, and security teams

• Maintain accurate documentation of drone missions, observations, and escalations

• Coordinate with onsite personnel and other operators to safely execute drone missions

• Work rotating shifts as part of a 24/7 coverage team

• Participate in training and continuous improvement activities supporting enterprise drone operations

What You Bring

• Proven experience flying drones over industrial sites such as refineries, chemical plants, or manufacturing facilities

• Strong understanding of industrial safety practices, permitting procedures, and hazard awareness

• FAA Part 107 Remote Pilot Certificate (required)

• Ability to interpret aerial imagery, video, and operational data

• High situational awareness and disciplined judgment when monitoring multiple information sources

• Experience supporting industrial inspections or surveillance operations

• Ability to work rotating shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays

• Clear communication skills and comfort escalating operational or safety concerns
