Full-Time, Live-Out Nanny

Start Date: November 1, 2026

Schedule: Monday–Friday, approximately 7:30/8:00 AM–6:00/6:30 PM

Position Type: Full-Time | Live-Out

Compensation: $30–$40/hour DOE | Paid Holidays, Paid Vacation, Paid Sick & Personal Days

About the Family

A warm family in Hoboken, NJ is seeking an experienced, nurturing, and dependable Full-Time, Live-Out Nanny to provide dedicated care for their 10-month-old son .

Their son is described as a very happy, easygoing, and curious baby who loves to explore . He follows a consistent daily schedule, which the family would like the nanny to maintain closely. As the family transitions him from daycare to nanny care, they would also like the nanny to introduce him to regular activities and classes, along with walks, trips to the local park, and other age-appropriate outings.

The family’s primary focus is their son’s care and development . They are looking for someone with strong infant experience who can provide a loving, engaging, and stimulating environment while supporting his routines and developmental milestones.

The family is open to a candidate who would like to take on additional household responsibilities for additional compensation , but this is not required. The core position remains focused on their son.

Responsibilities

  • Provide warm, attentive, and nurturing care for a 10-month-old baby
  • Maintain the child’s established daily schedule and routines
  • Support age-appropriate developmental milestones
  • Encourage exploration, curiosity, movement, language, and learning through play
  • Plan engaging and developmentally appropriate activities
  • Take the child to regular classes and activities
  • Take the child on walks and outings to the local park
  • Engage in reading, music, floor play, sensory activities, and other age-appropriate play
  • Manage feeding, naps, diapering, and other daily infant-care needs
  • Prepare light meals and food for the child
  • Keep the child’s toys, play spaces, feeding supplies, and belongings clean and organized
  • Assist with light housekeeping
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and nurturing environment for the child
  • Let the family’s dog in and out during the day as needed
  • Communicate consistently with the parents regarding the child’s day, routines, activities, and development
  • Additional household responsibilities may be available for a candidate interested in taking on more duties for additional compensation

Ideal Candidate

  • Several years of professional nanny experience
  • Strong infant experience required
  • Knowledgeable about infant development, routines, feeding, sleep, and safety
  • Warm, nurturing, patient, and highly attentive
  • Engaging and genuinely enjoys working with babies
  • Comfortable maintaining an established and consistent schedule
  • Proactive about planning classes, walks, outings, and developmentally appropriate activities
  • CPR/First Aid certified
  • Comfortable with light child-related cooking
  • Comfortable assisting with light housekeeping
  • Reliable, punctual, organized, and communicative
  • Comfortable around cats and dogs
  • Professional, trustworthy, and interested in a long-term position

  • Approximately 7:30/8:00 AM–6:00/6:30 PM

  • Driving is NOT required
  • Light cooking for the child
  • Light housekeeping
  • Parents occasionally work from home, but not on a regular schedule
  • One dog and two cats: Golden Retriever and two Siberian cats
  • Nanny will only need to let the dog in and out during the day; dog walking is not required
  • No other household staff currently employed
  • Approximately 2,000 sq. ft. home
  • Family is open to additional household duties with additional compensation
